Oh blogger I've missed you!!!

OK, that's sort of a lie, blogger I have missed you, but really I just haven't been blogging because life keeps getting in the way and I'm just tired all the time.

So lets have a catch up!

I finished a quilt! Fair enough it's a diddy little crib/ lap quilt but it has ric rac and everything! The back is made of a lovely soft fabric, I think its called something like wingette? I don't know and I am to lazy to google (also the internets in the evenings here is crud in the evenings).

I have almost finished another similar sized quilt, the binding is only half done and I just haven't got around to finishing it. I'll post a pic when it is done, the top is all one piece of vintage cut and sew fabric and I have quilted round all the pieces so they really pop out, I love it so much I don't know if I'll be able to give it away or try to sell it when it's all done.

In other news... I got a sewing chair!!! It's so so comfy!!! I then promptly made myself a nice squishy cushion to go on it! My first ever cushion too! BOOM!

I've been reading The Happy Zombie blog and she linked over to the Moda Bake Shop lots so I took a visit and made this lovely Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka... Oh no, wait a minute, it's just a little bag. Useless but sweet.

I made these littlies this weekend. I know it's March but I really wanted to make a stocking last year and never got round to it, so I've got me the christmas vibe now! I think I will make a few more and hopefully put some up for sale in my Etsy shop. I really need to be paying more attention to my facebook page to, needs a bit more love for sure.
The little mini quilt is so pretty I can't stop looking at it, I think it's destined to be a dolly quilt, so if anyone sees it and thinks it was meant to be theirs then let me know.

This is my last make of the weekend, I finally used some of the fabric from my trip to London. I have a crazy love for the pocket fabric after one of the contestants in Great British Sewing Bee used it for a skirt in the second episode. It made me desperately want to use it but incredibly conscious that I only had half a metre. I love this tote, It feels lovely and strong. I was thinking of thinking towards planning the idea of maybe in the future at some point when I'm brave of planning to put on tutorials and classes in real life (can you tell I'm nervy?) and I think this would be a great class for people to get together over, make a tote and maybe some friends.

So for now I leave you with a pic of mimi, crazy cat...

She lives to knock my clothes off the airer.

Happy sewing people!!
